Amplified Tubing Mascara

Description

Blinc's Amplified Tubing Mascara gives you a soft glam look with ultra-longwearing results. This formula allows you to build volume with a semi-matte finish. The oversized, cone-shaped brush and dense bristles fan out the lashes for a wispy look.

We’ve pioneered the original tubing technology. Our oil-free formula creates tiny water-resistant "tubes" around each lash. Once applied, the tubes bind to your lashes to hold their shape. No more painting your lashes with an oily formula, like conventional mascara.

Once the mascara formula has set, it can't clump, smudge, run, or flake. It’ll hold a curl through sweat, tears, eye-rubbing, and oily skin.

Amplified is non-irritating and has been clinically tested. This makes it suitable for sensitive eyes and the perfect fit for contact wearers. The longwear formula is also ideal for people with an active lifestyle. It’s the easy-to-remove mascara that never makes you compromise on look or hold.

Our original tubing formula holds better than waterproof mascaras, yet it’s significantly easier to take off at the end of the day. In fact, makeup removers won't work. Instead, use lots of warm water and apply gentle pressure. The tiny tubes slide off your lashes—no tint or residue left behind. The scrub-free yet thorough removal is healthier for your eyes and lashes.

How To Apply

APPLICATION

Before using blinc tubing mascara, start with clean & dry lashes. Having serums, conditioner, lotion, or other moisture will reduce the mascara’s adhesion to your lashes. If you’d like to curl your lashes, do so before applying your mascara.

To apply, begin at the base of your lashes, brushing right up to the ends. As you apply, slightly wiggle the wand side to side. Continue applying until you reach the lift, definition, length & volume you like. Build each layer before the formula dries for the best results.

Remember to clean residual mascara off the opening to make sure the cap closes securely.

REMOVAL

To remove the Amplified Tubing Mascara, use a combination of water and gentle pressure to slide the tiny tubes off your lashes.

Don’t pull your lashes or scrub! Keep applying lots of water until the tubes slide off your lashes on their own. Water and pressure from fingertips, a cotton round, a washcloth, or a showerhead will work just fine.

Makeup removers won’t remove tubing mascara. Sweat, tears, or water by itself also won’t remove the mascara tubes. Gentle pressure by itself, such as rubbing your eyes or sleeping with the mascara on, also won’t remove the mascara tubes.

…and don’t worry, those lash-like pieces that come off during the removal process are not your lashes. They’re the tiny mascara tubes sliding off your lashes. That's the beauty of our original tubing technology!

FAQs

Is the Amplified Tubing Mascara vegan?

No, the Amplified formula does contain beeswax.

Does the Amplified tubing formula contain gluten (grain of any kind)?

No, the Amplified tubing mascara is gluten-free.

How is blinc mascara water-resistant, yet it only comes off with water?

It’s because blinc tubing mascara requires BOTH water and pressure for removal. Using water or friction alone isn’t enough to remove the Amplified formula.

The tubes around your lashes slide right off simply by washing your face and applying gentle pressure. Water loosens the tubing, but it still requires light pressure for the tubes to slide off. For example, a shower with direct water on your face will remove the tubing mascara just fine.

Can I use regular make-up remover to take off tubing mascara?

No. The combination of water and light pressure is the only method that reliably removes blinc tubing mascara. Cleansing milks, make-up removal wipes, and liquid or balm makeup removers may not work.

Why use blinc tubing mascara if it’s not specifically made to nourish your lashes?

We developed tubing mascara to help wearers avoid harmful makeup removers. We also focused on easy removal to prevent the wearer from having to harshly rub the delicate, wrinkle-prone skin around the eyes.

Will I pull out my lashes or damage them when I remove blinc mascara?

No. Soaking the mascara with water neutralizes the adhesive properties. This lets the mascara tubes slide off effortlessly. No tint or residue is left behind on your lids or lashes.

blinc’s Amplified tubing mascara also doesn’t penetrate like traditional mascaras. The penetrative effect of these oil-based mascaras lets impurities build up around the lash roots.

You also don’t need to use makeup remover with the Amplified tubing formula, which can prevent irritation of the eye and surrounding skin.

Is it safe for sensitive eyes or contact lens wearers?

Yes! Blinc’s amplified tubing mascara is an excellent choice for sensitive eyes and people that wear contact lenses or eyeglasses.

If you deal with sensitivity when it comes to mascara, it’s usually from flakes of mascara getting into your eye. Thankfully, blinc mascara doesn't flake. And since the tubing formula doesn’t smudge or smear, eyeglass wearers can enjoy mascara without seeing mascara streaks on their lenses.

The Amplified tubing formula isn’t an oil-based paint, like traditional mascaras. It doesn’t smear, flake, run, or penetrate the skin like oil-based mascaras. blinc's revolutionary removal method also takes away the need for harmful rubbing and harsh eye makeup removers.  This significantly reduces your risk of eye irritation and infection.

Does the Amplified Tubing Mascara add volume and length to the lashes?

Absolutely. It’s a mascara that separates lashes and tubes them individually. This amplifies both the volume and length of your lashes. You can build multiple coats until you reach your desired lash volume.

Can I swim while I have blinc mascara on?

Many women do so without a problem. However, do know that swimming will saturate your mascara, so it’s at risk of sliding off with the slightest touch or pressure. Thankfully, having some tubing mascara come off at the beach or pool will not give you raccoon eyes. And losing a few "tubes" won’t remove your whole mascara look!

How long does one bottle of blinc tubing mascara last?

It depends on the frequency of use—and how well the tube is closed after use. We recommend replacing your mascara every two to three months.

Remember, blinc’s tubing formula doesn’t flake off. You won’t need as much mascara since you won’t need to reapply it during the day. We also recommended that you don’t share your mascara with anyone.

Why is blinc mascara more expensive than some other mascaras?

blinc is the original pioneer of tubing mascara technology—we’ve been improving and expanding what we offer since the 90’s. The Amplified tubing formula is ahead of the competition when it comes to performance. Also, blinc tubing products should last longer than traditional products since there’s no need to reapply during the day. Plus, you’ll avoid the expense of eye makeup removers!

Where is blinc mascara made?

blinc Amplified Tubing Mascara is manufactured in the United States.

Is it waterproof?

Not exactly—it IS water-resistant. But since tubing mascara is removed with water, it’s technically not “waterproof.” However, it’s better than waterproof mascara!

Waterproof mascara is notoriously difficult to remove. It usually requires lots of makeup remover and harshly rubbing your delicate skin to take it off. It’s also prone to leaving residue around pores, on the lids, and in your eyes. That’s why ophthalmologists agree that women should avoid wearing daily mascaras that require makeup removers.

Compared to waterproof mascara, blinc mascara gives you a superior hold with an easier removal process.

Will tubing mascara come off if I cry?

Crying doesn't usually produce enough water to loosen blinc mascara's adhesion. However, some tubes may slide off if there are enough tears combined with pressure, such as wiping or tightly clenching your eyes.

If a few tubes slide off, you can easily wipe them off your face like a fleck of dirt while keeping your mascara intact. No more worrying about “raccoon eyes” or the mascara-running-down-your-face look! It’s not possible with blinc’s Amplified tubing mascara.

What’s the active ingredient in blinc mascara?

The active ingredient in the Amplified tubing formula is an acrylic copolymer.

Should I curl my lashes before or after I use blinc mascara?

Curl them first. When you curl your lashes before applying the Amplified mascara, the little tubes form and set around the curled lash. This acts like a cast, which holds the curl. Unlike traditional oil-based mascara, your lashes won’t lose their curl throughout the day from the weight of the formula. We recommend shaping your lash curl with our heated eyelash curler.

Has blinc Amplified tubing mascara been tested?

Yes. blinc mascara has been tested by an independent certified laboratory in the United States. The tests were conducted to identify any irritancy potential utilizing the MatTek EpiOcular in vitro toxicity testing system, using Good Laboratory Practice principles.

The results were definite—blinc mascara was given a non-irritating classification. We’re also proud to say that blinc mascara has NOT been tested on animals.

Will blinc hold up in hot or humid weather?

Yes! The Amplified tubing formula isn’t as heat-sensitive as it is sensitive to water saturation. Many of our customers in some of the hottest places in the world (think Las Vegas, Saudi Arabia, etc...) swear by its performance!

Here are a few tips that may help improve your mascara's performance in hot, wet, or humid weather:

  • Apply your tubing mascara on clean, dry lashes. You don’t want any moisturizer around your eyes before applying the mascara.
  • After applying your mascara, but before going outside, give it a few minutes to set.

Can you sleep in blinc Amplified mascara?

Yes, you can, but we recommend taking your makeup off before going to sleep. However, many customers that have gone to bed with blinc mascara on report that it stays well enough to wear the next day.

What’s the difference between the Original, the Amplified, and the UltraVolume tubing mascaras?

Our Original formula retains your lash’s natural look. It’s buildable when it’s wet—about 30 seconds. It’s not buildable after it dries.

The Amplified tubing mascara boosts volume with its cone-shaped brush. You can apply extra layers after it dries, but we recommend building the volume while it’s still wet.

The UltraVolume tubing mascara is the most buildable formula. You can keep applying layers after it has set.

Don’t leave the wand of any tubing mascara open to the air for long amounts of time. Air can make the product age faster. You can prevent this by preventing buildup. Occasionally wipe the mascara wand and bottle’s mouth. Once you’re done, close the bottle tightly.

Artist Tips

Adding Extra Volume & Length

  • Want more volume on your lashes? While the mascara is still moist, apply a few more coats. Wait only about 20 seconds between coats—don't let it dry completely before adding more.
  • Want more length on your lashes? Work several strokes of the mascara wand onto your lash tips, focusing on the outer corner lashes. Remember to apply these strokes while the formula is wet.
  • Want even more lash length? Use multiple strokes and several coats at the tip of the lashes.
  • Want to boost volume, lash separation, AND length? Apply our white mascara primer before applying your tubing mascara.
  • Want to get your brows in on the tubing technology? You can apply tubing mascara as an eyebrow filler.

Tricks of the Trade

  • Accidentally over-applied mascara on part of your lashes? With a dry cotton swab, gently swipe your lashes to lift excess mascara.
  • Want to define and separate your lashes more? After applying your tubing mascara (but before it sets), separate lashes with a lash comb.
  • Love another mascara…but also love blinc’s performance? “Tubify” your other mascara by applying blinc tubing mascara over it. Your traditional mascara becomes sealed with blinc's tubing benefits.
  • Wear false lashes or eyelash extensions? Tubing mascara protects the adhesives since it doesn't require makeup remover.
  • Want to enjoy tubing benefits on your eyebrows? You can fill in your brows with tubing mascara. It will adhere the same way it would to your lashes.
